The 10th annual Croí Night Run 5k is taking place on the promenade in Salthill tonight.
2000 participants are expected so Croí is advising motorists and road users that there may be delays in the area from 8-9.30pm.
A temporary rolling road closure has been granted on Grattan Road from Mutton Island to Blackrock for that time.
The race will start at Mutton Island at 8 and crowds will be expected in the area in advance of the start time.
