Around four thousand Galway Junior Certificate students will receive their first state exam results today.
Nationally, a record number of students sat the Junior Cert exams in June, with almost 73 thousand expecting results this morning.
It's the first year numbers exceeded 70 thousand - and it was an increase of 8 point 5 per cent on the 2022 figure.
The results will be made available to schools through the SEC Schools Portal from 9 this morning - which is a full week earlier than last year.
