The public are being urged to help shape Galway's first ever outdoor recreation strategy.
The Galway County Outdoor Recreation Strategy will set out how outdoor amenities are improved, expanded and funded.
This is a five year strategy it's the first time a dedicated outdoor recreation strategy has been prepared for County Galway.
It covers activities in natural settings like walking, cycling, mountain biking and water-based activities.
It'll map out high level priorities for new and existing facilities, examine what's in place, and identify strategic gaps in infrastructure and services.
It'll also aim to strength co-operation between agencies, landowners and community groups involved in outdoor pursuits.
Five public consultation events will take place in August, and there'll also be an online consultation for those who cannot attend in-person events.
The first consultation is at Oughterard Courthouse, on Monday August 10th at 7pm.
The following day, Tuesday August 11th - there'll be events at Athenry Community Hall from 2pm until 4pm, and Temperance Hall in Loughrea at 7pm.
On Wednesday, August 12th, a consultation will take place at Ballinasloe Family and Community Resource Centre from 2pm until 4pm.
Later that same day, there'll also be an evening workshop at the Brú Bhríde Family Resource Centre in Tuam at 7pm.
