A long awaited task force targeting anti-social behaviour will soon be set up in the Ballinasloe Municipal district.

The group will be made up of three local councillors, Garda Inspector Declan Rock and Gerry Scully from the County Council’s Housing Department.

Mitigation of anti-social behaviour and the installation of CCTV in the area will be prioritised by the task force, which will run under the Councils Local Community Safety Partnership (LCSP).

The three councillors selected for the group are Fine Gaels Alan Harney, Sinn Féins Dermot Connolly, and Independent Dr. Evelyn Parsons.
