An appeal's been lodged with An Coimisiún Pleanála over the refusal of permission for an apartment development in Moycullen.
Limekin Construction Ltd proposes to demolish derelict buildings in the town and replace them with apartment blocks.
The plans are for a site fronting into Clifden Road, occupied by two derelict two storey homes and a car garage.
The site would've been cleared to make way for 3 apartment blocks, between 3 and 5 storeys in height.
There'd be 20 units overall, in a mix of duplex and single story apartments, as well as 4 retail units.
Access would be from a revised vehicular site entrance from Clifden Road, with new cycle and walking paths.
But county planners refused permission last month - holding it would amount to overdevelopment, and lead to potential traffic issues.
That decision's been appealed to An Coimisiún Pleanála, and a decision is expected later this year.
