ATU Galway is hosting the world finals of Invent for the Planet, a climate challenge competition, over the next few days.
Teams from the US, Lebanon, Mexico, Jordan and Brazil are in Galway for the international innovation event from today until next Tuesday
It's a 48-hour intensive design experience, where student teams develop solutions that combine engineering, sustainability, and entrepreneurship.
This is only the second time ever that the event has been held outside of Texas.
A team from Ireland will take on the six other finalist teams, with the winner announced on Monday May 11th after a final showcase and pitch.
