The average waiting time at the Emergency Department at UHG is 8 and a half hours
That compares to a national average of 7.2 hours - which is over an hour longer than it was ten years ago.
Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe has a wait time of just under the national average at 6.7 hours
Many would argue the figure of 8.5 hours for UHG is far from acceptable.
The HSE would agree given their target is six hours - but it's still far from the worst figure in the country, and in fact, it's not even in the top 5.
The longest wait is almost 13 hours at Tallaght University Hospital, followed by Naas Hospital at 11.4 hours.
On the other end, the shortest wait time is 3.6 hours at St Luke's Hospital Kilkenny, while it's just over 5 hours at Portlaoise Hospital.
According to figures obtained by Aontú TD Peader Tóibín, the national average of 7.2 hours is a slight improvement on recent years.
