The blockade of a fuel depot at Galway Port has ended following an early morning Garda operation.
The Garda Public order Unit dismantled a make shift barricade and began to clear the area shortly after 8am this morning.
Trucks had been parked at both sides on both ends ot the bridge overnight, blocking all traffic on the road.
Most protestors left peacefully after being directed by Gardai and the public order unit, however, some were resistant.
The blockade had just entered its 6th day, and its clearance follows that of a similar blockade at Whitegate depot in Cork.
A video posted to Instagram by Donal Byrne, a representative of the protestors, shows crowds leaving the docklands.
