Bus Eireann Galway to Ballina service saved

The Bus Eireann Galway to Ballina service has been saved following public concern at the planned ending of the route

Transport Minister and Galway East TD Seán Canney has confirmed that a Public Service Obligation will be put in place to maintain the Route 52 service

The PSO allows the State to support essential services that are not commercially viable.

Bus Éireann announced last weekend that the Expressway Route would cease next month due to sustained losses.
