Call for extra leap card scanners on city buses to streamline services

Bus Eireann should install extra leap card scanners on its city bus fleet to improve efficiency.

That's according to Fianna Fáil Councillor Cillian Keane, who says the current single scanner is a considerable bottleneck.

He says multiple scanners are used on buses in Dublin, allowing passengers to tap their card without having to queue for the driver.

Councillor Keane says this move would reduce waiting times at bus stops.
