Government is being urged to intervene in a "20 year saga" for a new school building for Carrabane National School.
Raising the matter in the Seanad, Senator Shane Curley said the current school is in a dangerous condition.
He said the process already collapsed once many years ago, sending the project back to square one.
Fianna Fail Senator Curley said the school is now facing the prospect of the entire project being sent back to the drawing board again.
