Call for primary teaching qualifications to be made available at University of Galway

There's a call for primary teaching qualifications to be made available at University of Galway.

City Councillor and school principal John Connolly says it would help address teacher shortages - and provide a localised pathway to teaching.

The Fianna Fail election candidate for Galway West says research carried out by the University shows that demand is there.

Councillor Connolly is calling on the Department of Education to consider approving the programme.
