Galway city fishmonger Stephane Griesbach has been certified as one of just five Master Fishmongers in the country.
Stephane, who's the owner and founder of Gannet Fishmongers in Ballybane, reeled in this UK certification that recognises exceptional skill and commitment within the fishmonger trade.
He was nominated by Bord Iascaigh Mhara's Seafood Academy and to achieve the certification you must demonstrate excellence across knife skills, in-depth product knowledge, responsible sourcing, sustainavility practices and customer service
Speaking after the ceremony in London, Frenchman Stephane said it's a real honour to achieve this certification as seafood has been a lifelong passion for him
