Galway Bay fm newsroom - Galway City Council is calling for automatic inquests into every maternal death.
The government is being urged to progress the Coroner’s bill as quickly as possible so the automatic inquests will be carried out when a mother dies while in the care of the maternity services.
The motion was proposed by Councillor Collette Connolly and seconded by Councillor Billy Cameron at City Hall this afternoon.
