The CEO of Galway City Council is to do a "walkabout" of the Ballybane/Castlepark active travel schemes currently under construction.
There's been some backlash to the works - both in terms of how the work is being done, and what the final outcome will be.
Common complaints include the road carriageway being excessively narrowed, and entrances being over-tightened.
At a recent meeting, management said the project can only be completed based on what was designed and approved for planning - and changes cannot be made at this late stage.
Local councillor Alan Cheevers say the CEO of Galway City Council has agreed to visit the schemes to hear concerns - and explains why it's important.
