City rolling truck protest comes to an end

A rolling go-slow truck protest in the city over rising fuel costs has now been ended.

Since this morning, they've been looping around the city centre as part of a national protest demanding Government action.

There was severe traffic delays this morning as vehicles entered the city from all directions in slow moving convoys - including Moycullen, Loughrea, Athenry, Ballinasloe and Tuam.

Tractors and other vehicles remain at Lough Atalia, where they've blocked the Bus Eireann Depot, severely impacting on services.
