A public EU conference on housing will take place in the city on Friday.
It's hosted by Renew Europe and local MEP Ciaran Mullooly, who is vice chair of the Housing Committee in the European Parliament.
This public event is about exploring the housing crisis and Ireland's response, as well as emergency and longer-term solutions from local, national and EU perspectives.
The event takes place at Knocknacarra Community Centre all day Friday and is open to the public, with registration details on the Galway Bay fm website.
In advance of Friday's conference, there will also be a special public information session tomorrow evening at Westside Community Centre for first-time buyers.
It takes place from 5.30pm until 7.30pm, and MEP Mullooly explains what it involves.
