Connemara's Maryann Walsh has been named Galway's Lidl Family Carer of the Year.
Maryann cares for her eldest daughter, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, and for her husband who had a serious stroke.
She has given them endless love, patience and strength even with her own health issues including heart surgery.
