Contactless fare payments will be available for Galway local link services by the end of June
The National Transport Authority (NTA) confirmed that passengers can also use Apple Pay or Google Pay to pay their fare.
The rollout bids to offer customers a quicker, easier, and more convenient alternative to pay for single journeys.
Galway will become the seventh county to introduce contactless payments for the local bus service.
Joe Greally, General Manager of Local Link Galway, says that contactless payments 'make travelling more convenient for occasional users and visitors.'
