A main contractor for the construction of a new fire station for Loughrea is set to be appointed next month.
A mini-competition was issued in January of last year, with the original March 6th 2026 deadline extended by one week.
The County Council's management report has revealed the contractor will be appointment in mid-April and it's expected works - which will take about a year - will begin in May
