Gardaí are investigating the theft of copper and lead stolen from a construction site in Athenry.
In the early hours of yesterday, between 1:30am and 02:30am locks on the shipping containers were cut at Páirc Na Rí and a quantity of copper and lead was taken.
It appears that the culprits entered the site through the neighbouring Ard Esker estate.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone with any information to contact Athenry Station.
