CCTV is a useful tool - but it's not a "magic bullet" to solve persistent dumping and littering in Ballybane.
That was the message delivered to councilors at City Hall.
It's after a recent IBAL survey identified Ballybane as one of the worst littered urban areas in the country.
Management says CCTV is just one factor in a targeted approach, with others including education, information, and waste management checks.
