A local councillor is seeking to invite the Garda Superintendent to a Loughrea MD meeting to discuss road safety concerns.
Driver speed is always a hot topic at local meetings, with councillors frequently calling for more traffic calming measures across Loughrea, Gort and Kinvara.
There was a lot of councillor support for speed cameras to be rolled out across the county, along with calls for more speed ramps in the area.
