Councillor threatens to boycott next year's roads budget if key projects aren't included

A Galway Councillor has threatened to boycott next year's roads budget if key projects in his municipal district aren't dealt with.

Fine Gael Loughrea Councillor Jimmy McClearn told a meeting with council management that key projects in the area have been thrown to the wayside.

He mentioned issues with pinch points on the N65 at Ballynew and L4322 at Oxgrove, Killimor as well as the Ballyshrule bridge, which he says is 'badly damaged'.

Councillor McClearn says that there's been no movement on any of these issues this year.
