County Cathaoirleach calls on Taoiseach to host some EU Presidency events in Galway

The Cathaoirleach of Galway County Council has written to the Taoiseach asking him to consider Galway for some of the events of the EU Presidency next year

David Collins says such events are always held in Dublin and it would be a chance to shine a light on another part of the country during the term of office from July to December

Cathaoirleach Collins says having EU leaders in Galway would give an opportunity to highlight to Europe Galway's infrastructural needs
