County Cathaoirleach invites Boston Mayor to visit Galway following his nomination as US Labour Secretary

Galway Bay fm newsroom - The County Cathaoirleach has invited the Boston Mayor to visit Galway following his nomination as US Labour Secretary.

Last week President elect Joe Biden nominated Mayor Marty Walsh for the prominant economic position in his new administration.

Mayor Walsh's family are natives of Carna and over the years he has visited the county both privately and in an offical capacity.

He was also made a Freeman of Galway in 2014.

The County Cathaoirleach James Charity has congratulated Mayor Walsh on behalf of the county and has invited him to visit Galway during his new term in office.
