CSO shows more than 300 homes built in Galway in first three months of year

CSO figures show that 362 homes were built in Galway in the first three months of the year.

102 of those were in the city, with the remaining 260 in the county - with the Gort/Kinvara and City Central areas carrying larger proportions of those numbers.

Nationally, more than seven-thousand-800 homes were built in the first quarter - a 33 percent rise on the same time last year.

Nearly 90 per cent of housing schemes completed were in cities, satellite towns, urban towns or rural areas with high urban influence.
