The winner of Galway GAA's 'Win a Home on Galway Bay' was announced last night in the Loughrea Hotel and Spa, as 46-year-old Dean Docherty from Ballybofey in County Donegal.
The winning ticket for the house valued at €360,000 in Kinvara, was pulled from the draw drum containing 14,771 tickets sold since the draw was launched last November.
Mr Docherty, a chef by trade, said he only bought the ticket over the Easter weekend after seeing a promotional video on Instagram.
The winning ticket was drawn by two-time former All-Ireland winner with Clare hurlers, Ollie Baker, a Garda Superintendent based in Ballinasloe.
