Drivers in Galway were delayed in traffic an average of 61 hours this year.
It's an improvement on last year, with Galway dropping down the global rankings of the most congested cities - from 56 last year, to 71 this year.
The report by Inrix shows Dublin is the 11th most congested city in the world, and the third most in Europe, behind London and Paris.
The most-congested cities are: Istanbul, Mexico and Chicago.
