A grant worth €388,000 has been approved for upgrade works to facilities at CLG Mícheál Breathnach in Indreabhán.

Minister for the Gaeltacht Dara Calleary approved the funding today under the Rural and Community Development programme.

Upgrades include resurfacing of the carpark and footpaths, and the addition of public lighting and floodlights for the playing field.

The funding comes just a week after the announcement of plans for a new multi-million euro Language and Youth Centre next door at the Coláiste Lurgan campus being put to tender.
