The Education Minister and Galway West TD Hildegarde Naughton has turned the sod on a new building for Gort National School
As part of her engagements today, Minister Naughton also visited Trinity Primary School in Tuam, Tierneevin National School and Gort Community School.
Pupils at Gort NS have been split across two campuses since 2015 after an amalgamation, but the new 12-classroom building - due to be completed in 2028 - will see an end to that.
