Electric car registrations up by nearly 70% in Galway for 2026

Electric car registrations in Galway have increased by nearly 70 percent in 2026.

From January to April of this year, 620 EVs have been registered in the county, an increase of 250 from the same period last year.

Total car registrations have also risen to 3204 from 3069, a rise of 4.4 percent.

Nationally, electric car registrations more than doubled to nearly 2,800.
