The Estonian Ambassador to Ireland, Kairi Künka, will today visit Scoil Mhuire in Moycullen with The Minister for Education and Galway West TD Hildegarde Naughton
The visit takes place ahead of Europe Day on Saturday, with the school hosting a community-wide celebration to mark the occasion.
Today’s visit forms part of the county pairings initiative, under which each Irish county is matched with an EU member State for the duration of Ireland’s Presidency with Galway being paired with Estonia.
The visit comes as Minister Naughton prepares to travel to Brussels next week for the final meeting of the EU Education, Youth, Culture and Sport Council before Ireland takes over the Presidency of the EU in July
