Extensive water mains upgrades in an Spideál in response to leaks

Extensive water mains upgrades are taking place in an Spideál next week to drive down high rates of leakage.

355 meters of aging mains at Bohoona East will be replaced with more modern pipes as part of Uisce Éireann's national Leakage reduction Programme.

The upgrades are being carried out in response to large amounts of burst pipes and leaks being reported in the area.

Local Fine Gael Councillor Padraig Mac An Iomaire says that these upgrades are badly needed.
