Fire safety video launched for Galway Travellers living in halting sites

Galway County Council has launched a new fire safety awareness campaign for those living in caravans and mobile homes on halting sites.

The campaign is led by the Council's Traveller Accommodation Unit and supported through the Dormant Accounts Fund.

It centres on a fire safety video produced in partnership with Galway Fire Service, highlighting how quickly a fire can take hold in a caravan, as well as significant risk factors and prevention measures.
