Former President of the University of Galway, Professor Ciarán Ó hÓgartaigh, is today addressing an Oireachtas Committee on the Irish language in third-level education
Galway city raised Professor Ó hÓgartaigh, who resigned the presidency mid-way through his term, is joining four other language representatives in addressing the Committee on Further & Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science
They will outline the challenges in using and communicating through Irish in third level institutions and discuss the funding for specialised third-level Irish language courses.
