Fuel protest convoy remains at Lough Atalia

There's ongoing traffic delays in the city this morning as a convoy of trucks and tractors is protesting as part of a nationwide action against fuel prices.

They made their way into the city this morning from all directions in slow moving convoys - including Moycullen, Loughrea, Athenry, Ballinasloe and Tuam.

They've been congregating at Lough Atalia since 7am, where they're currently blocking the Bus Eireann Depot.

Amid the ongoing fuel increases due to the war in Iran, they're calling for the removal of carbon tax and a further reduction of excise duty on fuel.
