36 more sets of infant remains have been recovered at the Tuam Mother and Baby Home site.
It brings the total number of infant remains found at the section currently being excavated to 69.
The excavation team says the results indicate that these latest remains were buried in coffins which have since decayed.
It adds the evidence indicates that in a small number of instances, two or three individuals were buried in the same coffin.
The highly complex work is ongoing since last July, and is expected to take years to fully complete.
Previously some remains have also been recovered at a seperate section of the site, that date back to the workhouse era.
