A new initiative showcasing buildings from Galway's Record on Protected Structures is now underway.

It's led by Galway City Council and aims to bring the City's architectural heritage into the spotlight.

Throughout April, people entering Galway will see fifteen profile road signs coming into the City.

It will feature buildings like Una Micheal's Cottage, which is one of the smallest thatched dwellings in Ireland.

Micheal Scott, Executive Architectural Conservation Officer says each one of the buildings contributes to the City's unique character.
