Galway city rents rise by 8% as county records 19% hike

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Rents in Galway city have risen by 8.3% over the last year, while county rents have recorded an increase of 18.8%.

The latest report from Daft.ie reveals rents nationwide have increased by an average of 6.7% to their highest level since 2019.

Rents are higher, compared to a year ago, in 50 of the 54 markets covered in the report.

The average rent in Galway city stands at €1,475, while county rents stand at €1,114.

According to the latest analysis, Dublin rents are up by 2.7% , while rents in Cork are 6.9% higher.
