Galway Clinic has put up notices on site warning of 'aggressive' seagull activity in the area.
It comes as a result of reports and complaints, with management placing the notices on entrances and exits of the hospital.
The notice reads: 'Caution. Aggressive bird activity. A nesting seagull has been observed in this area and may act aggressively.'
It asks people not to approach or disturb the bird, to use alternative routes where possible and the Clinic says it's working with wildlife specialists to resolve the issue safely.
Meanwhile, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Councillor Frank McNamara says there are similar issues in his area, and has suggested releasing hawks to keep the birds away
