Galway customers react to Born Clothing closing its stores

Customers and fans of Galway-founded clothing chain Born have been reacting to new its closing all of its stores nationwide, with the loss of over 100 jobs.

Born Clothing announced the closure of its 15 stores across the country, which includes its Galway stores in the Eyre Square Centre and Galway Shopping Centre.

The company, which opened its first store in Newtownsmith in Galway city in 2009, made the announcement in an Instagram post.

A notice on the Born website indicates that gift vouchers or credit notes cannot be accepted because they are in liquidation and in addition no returns can be made.
