Galway Bay fm newsroom - A Galway East TD has called on the Office of Public Works to ensure that built heritage in Tuam and elsewhere is preserved

Sean Canney understands that the OPW are planning to cover up the old Bank of Ireland stone carving on the front of the Old Library.

There are plans to erect a modern sign on top of the stone carved sign, which Deputy Canney claims is not in keeping with the planning permission recieved.
