Galway-founded clothing chain Born is to close all its stores nationwide with the loss of over 100 jobs.
Born Clothing has announced the closure of its 15 stores across the country, which includes its Galway stores in the Eyre Square Centre and Galway Shopping Centre.
The company, which opened its first store in Newtownsmith in Galway city in 2009, made the announcement in an Instagram post.
The High Court appointed provisional liquidators to the group on Tuesday after hearing business difficulties arose for reasons which included the pandemic, the increase in the minimum wage and high business rates.
A notice on the Born website indicates that gift vouchers or credit notes cannot be accepted because they are in liquidation and in addition no returns can be made.
