A number of Galway groups have been shortlisted for the Ardán 2026 Awards.
Ardán is a brand new competition, succeeding the historic Glór na nGael national competition.
Every group shortlisted will receive a prize - while the total prize fund for the competition is €83 thousand.
Pobal Rua and Gaillimh le Gaelige are nominated in the 'Speaking Irish' category.
Ionad na nImirceach CTR, Coiste Féilte Chill Chiaráin and Fóram um Pleanáil Teanga Chois Fharraige are shortlisted in the 'Gaeltacht' category.
Comhar Chuigéal Teo is nominated in 'Community Supports and Wellbeing', while Gaeilge Locha Riach is shortlisted in 'Education'.
And in 'Business and Education', Comhlacht Forbartha Inis Meáin CRT is one of four finalists.
Special Recognition Awards were also presented to Aisteoirí an Bhaile and Coiste Óige Bunscoile Inis Oírr.
The Ardán 2026 Awards ceremony will take place at the Connacht Hotel in Galway City on Saturday, September 19th.
