Galway Races Ladies Day expecting increased entries with extra inclusivity

The team behind Galway Races Ladies Day is expecting more entries than ever this year, welcoming both in-person and online applications

The winner of Best Dressed will receive €10,000, while there's also a separate €3,000 prize for the Best Hat.

Galway's Megan Cunniss was crowned Best Dressed last year, and then went on to win the top prize on Ladies Day at the Cheltenham Festival.

Irish skincare brand Ella & Jo is sponsoring the competition for a second year in a row.

Galway Races Ladies Day expecting increased entries with extra inclusivity

Online entries open at 6PM tomorrow, Wednesday, while this year, people can enter on the day by visiting the sign-up wall in the Fashion Marquee.

Judging will begin at 11:30AM on Thursday, with judges Mandy Maher, Charlene Flanagan and Laura Fox handing out an initial 30 finalist badges to report to the marque at 3PM.

From there, it'll be narrowed down to ten finalists who will take to the stage for the grand finale, before the judges announce the Best Dressed and Best Hat winners.
