September was the best month of record for Irish wind farms with Galway in the top three providers of the most wind energy.
The windfarms provided 35 per cent of the country's electricity last month, with solar and other renewable sources boosting that by another 7 per cent.
Kerry was once again the county that provided the most wind energy in the country, followed by Cork, Galway, Derry and Mayo.
