Galway's Connemara Trail has been awarded a grant from Airbnb's rural tourism fund.
The initiative aims to showcase the best local spots.
The fund provides grants of between €1,000 and €15,000, and this year's winners include FOURM Connemar,a enabling the group to provide vital upgrades to the trail.
A section of the trail is currently closed due to safety concerns, and this funding will support clearing and resurfacing the site to improve access.
