A Galway Bay FM documentary on the Galway ring Road has been nominated for two prestigious national awards.
RingRoaded, by John Morley and Sarah Grealish, has been nominated in the Local Broadcast and Podcast categories of the 2026 Justice Media Awards.
Organised annually by the Law Society of Ireland, the awards recognise outstanding print, broadcast, and online journalism that contributes to the public’s understanding of justice, the legal system, and access to justice issues.
The RingRoaded documentary explored the experience of some of the 54 families whose homes lie directly along the route.
They spoke about the anxiety, stress and disruption they've suffered due to years of not knowing if their homes would be demolished.
Winners of the Justice Media Awards will be announced at an event on June 11th.
