Half a million euro in funding has been announced for Galway Piers.
The funds under the 2026 Local Authority Marine Infrastructure Scheme go towards maintenance and repair works.
Works include quay wall repair and upgrades, repair of damaged breakwaters, new ladders, and new retaining walls.
The beneficiaries are Roundstone Pier, Bunowen Pier, Tiernee Pier, Kilkieran Pier, Blackweir Pier, Ballinacourty Pier, and Caladh Gholaim.
